Reps. Loebsack, Graves Introduce Resolution Honoring America's Teachers
Today, Representative Dave Loebsack (IA-02) and Representative Sam Graves (MO-06), introduced a resolution in Congress to honor teachers. H. Res. 363 recognizes the roles and contributions of America’s teachers to building and enhancing the Nation’s civic, cultural, and economic well-being.
National Teacher Appreciation Week runs May 6th through May 10th this year.
“I am pleased to help honor teachers across the nation for their hard work and dedication to ensuring our future generations have the knowledge and tools necessary to be successful,” said Congressman Loebsack. “As someone who was raised in poverty, I owe much of my success to the teachers who helped me pull myself up and encouraged me to make something of myself. We owe a debt of gratitude to the teachers across the nation and this Teacher Appreciation Week, I am delighted to help honor their work and shine a light on all that they do for our students.”
“We all owe a debt of gratitude to teachers everywhere,” said Congressman Graves. “They impact the lives of each one of us in many ways and they continually go above and beyond to help kids become highly productive citizens. Teacher Appreciation Week is a great opportunity to recognize the vital role that teachers fulfill in our country.”
