Press Release
"Like" Loebsack's Facebook Post for a Chance to See President Obama in Iowa City
Congressman Dave Loebsack announced today that Iowans can visit his Facebook page and "like" a post to be entered for a chance to see President Obama speak at the University of Iowa on Wednesday, April 25th. The President is traveling to Iowa to speak about the importance of Congress taking action to prevent student loan rates from doubling on July 1st. Loebsack is a cosponsor of HR 3826, which will ensure this increase does not take effect.
"Every Iowan deserves an opportunity to pursue a higher education, but with tuition on the rise, families are struggling even more to be able to send their kids to college. Congress must act to prevent Iowans from paying $1000 more per year when they can least afford it,” said Loebsack. "I am pleased President Obama is coming to Iowa to stress the importance of making college more affordable.” To enter, visit Loebsack's Facebook page (www.facebook.com/DaveLoebsack) and "like" the selected post by 3pm CDT on Tuesday, April 24th. Multiple winners will be chosen from a lottery and receive a pair of tickets to the event. |
