CONGRESSMAN DAVE LOEBSACK TESTIFIES BEFORE BUDGET COMMITTEE, SUBMITS LETTERS FROM LOCAL OFFICIALS HIGHLIGHTING THE SECOND DISTRICT’S RECOVERY AND REPAIR NEEDS
Today Congressman Loebsack testified before the Budget Committee, highlighting the recovery needs of the Second District. Congressman Loebsack submitted letters from local officials, asking the committee to review their requests for flood repairs.
“I am committed to working with local communities to bring additional relief into the Second District,” said Congressman Loebsack. “My testimony to the Budget Committee highlighted our disaster funds requests and I submitted letters from our officials on these grounds.
“Our local officials see firsthand, day in and day out, the struggles that Iowans are facing. Having the committee review their requests conveys the depth of the damage and the need for more assistance on a personal level.
“I am dedicated to exploring all avenues available to bring in the funds that will allow us to rebuild and repair. I would like to thank our local governments for their efforts to support this work and support their cities.”
